I love data! For me it paints a clear and realistic picture of what you have actually done in a time period and allows for an easier forecast into the future. (Of course, no one has a crystal ball) Currently I track the following each month;
Apprasials Signed Gained
Average management fee (of properties signed)
Lost managements
Average rent (of properties signed) Reviews recevied I have accumalated over 8 years worth of data and insights and what it shows is trends (Busiest periods of the year, Quietest times) and allows you to have more educated conversations with landlords about when is the best time in your market place to bring a property to rent.
