Response to the Australian Federal Budget for 2026
Last night, the Budget came out, and today I’ve had a lot of people reach out asking, what do we say, what do we do, how do we respond?
And the biggest thing I want to say is this, tone matters right now.
There is already enough hysteria. There is enough doom and gloom. There is enough uncertainty, anger and confusion.
Our job is not to add to that. Our job is not to give the panic more oxygen.
The media has already done plenty of that.
Right now, our role is to be the calm voice of reason.
We are trusted advisors. People are looking to us for guidance, clarity and perspective.
That means now is the time to get informed. Knowledge is key. Knowledge is powerful.
Study what the Budget means for your local market. Study what it means for homeowners, investors, first-home buyers, people looking at off-the-plan property, people with mortgages, and anyone trying to understand things like CGT, stamp duty, supply, affordability and confidence.
This is not a time to knee-jerk.
It is a time to be cool, calm and collected.
So whether you are recording a video, sending an email, writing a social media post or speaking to clients directly, remember this, people are looking to us for leadership.
Let’s not add to the noise.
Let’s bring clarity.
Let’s be calm.
Let’s be useful.
And let’s make sure we are putting the right information out there.

Exactly! Tone it down.
